Grandma's Raisin Pudding~(Slow Cooker Version)

If you like raisins, you are
going to LOVE this dessert!
I remember having this growing up
for a Sunday Dessert. Although my Mom
baked it in the oven. I wanted to see if I
could adapt it to make it in
my slow cooker.  It Worked!

Grandma's Raisin Pudding
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 C. Milk
1 C. Raisins
3 TBSP. Butter~ melted
1 C. Sugar
2 C. All Purpose Flour
1/2 tsp. Salt
2 tsp. Cinnamon
4 C. Water
2 C. Brown Sugar~packed
1/4 C. Butter

Combine the first (9) ingredients together.
Pour into a lightly greased slow cooker.
Bring the water, brown sugar and
butter to a boil. Then pour over the batter
in your slow cooker.
Cover with lid, set on low for 4 hours
remove lid the last 30 minutes of baking.
This magically makes a "toffee flavored"
cake with a rich raisin pudding
underneath. We like to serve it
warm with a scoop of
vanilla ice cream.
Passed down recipes,
are the best kind.

*If you are wanting to make this in the
oven, it makes a 9x13" pan. You will need to
reduce the water by 1 Cup. Bake for 30 minutes
in a preheated oven of 350.
