OH MY.....If you like apple pie, you're gonna LOVE this pie!
I mean what isn't there to like about this pie?
(well it does have room for a scoop of Vanilla Bean Ice Cream)
In a large mixing bowl add:
3 TBSP. Flour
1/4 tsp. Salt
1 C. Sugar
1/4 tsp. Nutmeg
1/4 tsp. Cinnamon
1 egg, beaten
3/4 C. Sour Cream
1 tsp. Vanilla
2 1/2 C. Sliced Granny Smith Apples
1 (9inch) unbaked Pie Shell
Mix well and then place filling into shell.
Place onto a sheet pan (to catch any drips)
Preheat Oven to 375 While oven is heating make up the crumb topping.
Crumb Topping:
3/4 C. Sugar
1/2 C. Flour
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1/2 c. Cold Butter ( I like to grate it)
Cut butter into dry ingredients until well blended.
Set off to the side.
Place the pie (with out the crumb topping) into oven and bake for 30 minutes.
then pull pie out and sprinkle crumb topping on. Return back to oven and continue baking for another 15 minutes.
Serve warm or cold it is just as good the next day!
Enjoy!

This Sour Cream Apple Pie is amazing! I am so happy to see that you made it through the "Blogger Storm". Thank you so much for sharing with Full Plate Thursday and hope to see you next week!
Apple pie is my favorite pie. I'm embarassed to admit that I've never attempted to make one. Yours looks delicious and is inspiring me to at least give it a try. Thanks for joining the party on A Well-Seasoned Life.

Lark,
You saved my Thanksgiving with your outrageously delicious Sour Cream Apple Pie! At the last minute,I needed a recipe for Apple Crumb Pie and, WOW, did you deliver... That pie was so good that my cousins were literally fighting over the leftover crumbs in an empty pie tin!
Apple pie is one of my family's favorites and the after diner vote this Thanksgiving was unanimous: Your recipe will replace my grandmother's on our annual holiday menu. Simply put, your Sour Cream Apple Pie is divine. For me, it blends feelings of warmth, love, family, snuggling on a cool fall night and joy with thoughts/images of Fall, Christmas, warming up in front of a fireplace, snow and Thanksgiving into each bite.
Thank you so much for sharing the recipe with us.

Stephanie, I am thrilled your family loved this recipe. Although I am not sure if I am a worthy "replacement" for your Grandma's recipe. (lol) Thank you so much for the sweet comments! <3
