Mini Pizza on a Bun



With Grilling Season Fast approaching, your bound to have left over Hot Dog  or Hamburger Buns. At least I always do, thanks to having a picky eater who likes her hamburger with out a bun.

So instead of throwing out the extra bun's,
I turned them into lunch the next day.  :)

And yes, you CAN use hot dog buns. They taste just the same.

You will need:

Extra Hamburger or hot dog buns
1 Can of Pizza Sauce
Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
*Diced Onion, peppers
*Pepperoni
*Mushrooms
*Olives
***Any toppings you have on hand or like can be used.
Place your Oven on Broil.
On a cookie sheet place the bun halves. Toast for about 1 minute on each side. Then start with your pizza sauce, then toppings and shredded cheese. Place bake into cook for another 2-3 minutes. (watch carefully so they wont burn)

Fantastic idea! I like making bread sticks with leftover hot dog buns...I'll be trying this soon. Thanks for sharing.

This is great. My mom used to make something like this with english muffins under the broiler. I usually have those lonely left over hamburger buns and this is PERFECT!!!
